> IsSiteLegit answers "Is this website legit?" for any domain. Each checked domain has a permanent page at
> https://issitelegit.com/check/<domain> with a verdict, a 0–100 trust score, a plain-language summary and the full list of evidence.
> Results are automated assessments based on public signals — not a guarantee.

## How results work

- Verdicts: "likely_legit", "caution", "high_risk", and "known_malicious" (only when a security blacklist lists the site).
- Signals: domain registration age (RDAP), DNS, HTTPS certificate and first certificate date (Certificate Transparency),
  blacklists (URLhaus, ThreatFox, OpenPhish, PhishTank, PhishDestroy, Google Web Risk / Safe Browsing), popularity (Tranco or
  Chrome UX Report top 1M), lookalike/brand
  impersonation detection, homepage analysis (contact details, policies, payment methods, discount and urgency patterns,
  pages that present themselves as a brand they don't belong to), email anti-spoofing (SPF/DMARC), hosting network (ASN),
  domain ending abuse rates, registration length and owner privacy, and moderator-approved user reports.
- A deterministic rule-based score is blended with an AI assessment that may only cite collected evidence.
- Every result shows "Last checked" time; results older than 30 days are marked as possibly outdated.
